First post on this whole blogging thing

Well I suppose seeing as lots of others are starting to get into this whole 'blogging' thing I might as well have a shot at it myself. This blog will have all sorts of wierd goings on, namely my occasional thoughts and philosophies on life, but mostly I will be talking about my keen interest on various scientific matters.
